CHAI MASALA


Soothing and delicious, this can be especially savoured on a rainy day
 
Preparation Time : 5 mins
 
Cooking Time : 5 mins
 


 
Ingredients
   
Tea leaves 4 teaspoons
Black peppercorns 16 
Cinnamon 1 inch stick
Cloves 4 
Green cardamoms 4 
Dry ginger 1 teaspoon
Milk 2 cups
Chai masala 1 teaspoon
Sugar 4 teaspoons

 
Method
 
1. Dry grind all the masala ingredients to a fine powder. Let it cool completely then sieve. Store in an airtight container. Use the masala as and when required to make tea.

2. To make tea, mix two cups of milk and two cups of water and bring to a boil. Add tea leaves and chai masala. Let it boil for a minute, add sugar. When it comes to a boil, lower heat and let it simmer for two minutes.

3. Strain and serve piping hot.
